PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the possibility of damaging a sensor shaft by preventing excessive torque from being applied to the sensor shaft, and to improve reliability in the sensor torque. SOLUTION: The torque sensor having the sensor shaft that is provided between a torque input shaft and a torque output shaft and has a magnetic anisotropy section, and a magnetic sensor provided around the sensor shaft is provided with a cylindrical member for covering the sensor shaft, and fixes the torque input shaft side end of the cylindrical member to the sensor shaft.
