PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dry cleaning, having more washing effect than use of a detergent comprising only silicone oil and designed to have higher safety by lowering volume resistivity to decrease generation of static electricity. SOLUTION: The method for dry cleaning comprises using a dry cleaning detergent comprising 95.0-99.9 wt.% volatile silicone oil with 95-220°C boiling point and 0.1-5.0 wt.% surfactant soluble in the silicon oil and having≤1×10<SP>10</SP>Ωcm volume resistivity at 25°C.
