PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of comparing the cases stopping over the facility and not which is searched around the route, wherein capable of easily informing a user of the difference to be generated on the travelling plan. SOLUTION: When the user select the display mode of facility vicinity map, the facility vicinity map is displayed on the display monitor. In the facility vicinity map along the recommended route, the facility information 24, 25 and 27, the facility icon, the name of facility and the distance from the vehicle to the facility are displayed. In the facility information 26 and 28 which are not along the recommended route, the detour icon, and the detour time necessary to through the facility from the recommended route.
