PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact electrical connector for a circuit board having a lock function in being fitted to a mating connector. SOLUTION: In the electrical connector for a circuit board, a housing or a member attached thereto forms extension parts 15 and 13 extending in an arrangement direction of terminals and outside a terminal arrangement range. In the extension parts, two facing external wall surfaces 13B and 13C formed in parallel to two sidewall surfaces in the terminal arrangement range of the housing 11 are formed; the distance between the two external wall surfaces 13B and 13C in the facing direction of the two sidewall surfaces is set larger than the distance between the two sidewall surfaces 14A and 14B; and a terminal center position E halving the distance between contact parts projecting from the two sidewall surfaces, and the extension part center position D halving the distance between the two external wall surfaces of the extension part are positioned by being shifted from each other in the facing direction.
