PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission amplifier which can obtain stable distortion compensation performance even when the signal bandwidth is changed during operation. SOLUTION: A detection power frequency changing part 3 which operates when the signal bandwidth of input signals from a base station 1 changes is prepared. The detection power frequency changing part 3 provides a distortion detection part 5 with an instruction to change the frequency for obtaining carrier power and the frequency for calculating adjacent leakage power. The distortion detection part 5 calculates the ratio between the carrier power and the adjacent leakage power on the basis of the changed frequencies. A distortion compensation part 8 performs distortion compensation by using a distortion compensation amount which is adjusted on the basis of the result. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
