PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an appropriate electronic camera shake correction function by eliminating a motion vector caused by image shake and using a motion vector caused by camera shake in a digital camera provided with the electronic camera shake correction function using a motion vector. SOLUTION: Based on a face detection result by a face detection circuit, a motion vector detection circuit is controlled so that it becomes a structure which does not detect a motion vector around a block including a face. A system control circuit performs electronic camera shake correction processing on the basis of the motion vector acquired from the motion vector detection circuit. A motion vector to be detected eliminates the motion vector around the block including the face, so that the electronic camera shape correction processing eliminating influences of the motion vector caused by the image shake can be performed.
