Provided is a novel substance for purifying an industrial waste gas. The novel substance is a brown-grey solid at normal temperature, the solubility of the novel substance in water is less than 1％, and the solubility of the novel substance in methanol is greater than 10%; the functional component of the novel substance is composed of a calcium salt of a fatty acid and a small molecule aromatic hydrocarbon, and the inefficient components are ashes and plastics. There are 2-5 benzene rings within each molecule of the small molecule aromatic hydrocarbon, and at least one carbon atom is directly connected with an oxygen atom. The effect of the novel substance for purifying an industrial waste gas is that various pollutants in the industrial waste gas are simultaneously effectively removed. Removal of a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon by using the novel substance is to combine same with the novel substance by way of a chemical bond, rather than physical adsorption which is not tightly combined. The novel substance is prepared by catalytic hydrolysis of household solid waste. |
