1. A method of decoding spatial data embedded in a downmix data stream, the method comprising:
receiving an extension payload including a current data segment, wherein, a data block of the spatial data is split into one or more data segments including the current data segment; obtaining information about a data type, information about a start of the data block and information about an end of the data block, for the current data segment; obtaining length information of the current data segment included in the extension payload; extracting the current data segment from the extension payload based on the obtained length information; decoding the data block of the spatial data based on the current data segment and at least one of the obtained information about the data type, the obtained information about the start of the data block and the obtained information about the end of the data block; and upmixing a downmix signal using the spatial data.
