PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the proportion of perfects to a whole lot of final products and to reduce the cost for active matrix EL display devices by checking the operation of a TFT substrate before depositing an EL material.SOLUTION: Each pixel is provided with a capacitor 9108 electrically connected to a drain region of a driving TFT 9106 and further electrically connected to an EL element 9105 in parallel. By checking the charging and discharging of the capacitor, whether the driving TFT 9106 correctly operates is determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
