PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope preventing deterioration in light distribution characteristics due to adhesive in the endoscope for bonding a tip cover having a lens surface to an outer casing having a light guide fiber bundle.SOLUTION: The endoscope includes: a cylindrical observation optical unit facing a distal end of an insertion section; an outer casing that is located around an outer periphery of the cylindrical observation optical unit and supports a light guide fiber bundle for exiting illumination light from an exit end face at a tip end; and a light-transmitting tip cover that has a lens surface for diffusing a light flux from the light guide fiber bundle and is bondedly fixed to the tip end surface of the outer casing. The endoscope includes a standing surface formed at the light-transmitting tip cover, continuously extending from the lens surface towards the exit end face of the light guide fiber bundle or the tip surface of the outer casing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
