In order to control parameters such as the volume level for an audio device to a desired value, this parameter control device is equipped with: an operated part (418); an operation detection unit (120) that detects operations with respect to the operated part (418); an operation screen display unit (110) that updates the display position of the operated part (418) in accordance with an operation with respect to the operated part (418); and a parameter updating unit (130) that updates a parameter value in accordance with an operation with respect to the operated part (418). When the amount of the operation with respect to the operated part is equal to or less than a prescribed threshold value, the parameter updating unit updates the parameter in accordance with that operation amount. When the operation amount exceeds the threshold value, the parameter is updated in accordance with the value of the threshold value. When the operation detection unit detects a cessation of the operation of the operated part, the parameter updating process is stopped, and when the parameter updating process is stopped, the operation screen display unit updates the display position of the operated part to a display position in accordance with the parameter value at that point in time. |
