PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the stability of an apparatus and facilitate its maintenance and control by arranging a leakage current measuring probe abutted on a casing and a leakage current measurement section measuring the current from the probe, displaying a leakage current value on an image display section, and observing the leakage current value. SOLUTION: A reflected echo signal is detected from the reception signal of reflected waves from in vivo by the ultrasonic transmission/reception section 2 of an ultrasonic diagnostic device 30 connected to a probe 1 transmitting/ receiving ultrasonic waves in a subject, and an image is formed from the reflected echo signal by an image process section 3. The ultrasonic diagnostic device 30 is provided with a leakage current measurement section 10 storing a leakage current measuring circuit connected to an external leakage current measuring probe 11. When a leakage current measurement command is given from a keyboard section 9, the current flowing on a line is measured by the leakage current measuring circuit to calculate a leakage current, and the obtained leakage current value is displayed on an observation monitor 5 through an image display section 4.
