摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily introduce the information of a desired object by judging a shell at least approximately partitioning the surface of a layer or a body as a geometrical selection decision criterion for displaying an image with multilayer capacity range, and utilizing a signal satisfying the decision criterion for the image display. SOLUTION: A 3-D sensor 1 for scanning an object is connected to an ultrasonic echo processor 2 transmitting ultrasonic pulses and receiving echoes reflected in vivo. The position of the sensor 1 and the transmission of acoustic pulses are controlled by a control unit 3, and acquired echo signals are stored in a memory 4 according to locations of occurrence. The echo signals are also stored in a coordinate memory 6 according to a Cartesian coordinate system. Signals from the coordinate memory 6 are extracted by an interrogating device 7, scanned capacity display is made at an evaluation stage 8, capacity display is made at an evaluation stage 9, a surface net model of 'interested face' is formed at an evaluation stage 10, and shell display is made at an evaluation stage 11 respectively.
