PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent misalignment of a printer unit with a paper feeding unit during assembling in an image forming device having a frame body separably formed of an upper structure for supporting a printer unit and a lower structure for supporting a paper feeding unit, and copying images to a wide and long paper sheet of AO size, etc. SOLUTION: Positioning plates (upper) 9a are formed at the lower part of a printer lower side plate so that they extend to the side of a lower structure, and projections 9b are provided at their tips. Positioning plates (lower) 5a are formed at the upper part of a paper feeding side plate 5, and holes 5b for fitting the projections 9b are provided at their tips. Slots 5c for tightening screws are provided in the paper feeding unit side plate 5 and the side plate is fixed to a supporting bracket 4 by fitting screws 14 into the slots. Although the device is separably formed so that it can be divided into the upper and lower structures, namely the printer unit and the paper feeding unit, the positional relationship between these units can be directly determined and these units can be positively aligned without requiring many parts.
