METHOD FOR RECYCLING FOOD WASTE AS FEED OR COMPOST AND APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for recycling food waste as a feed or a compost and an apparatus thereof are provided in which the food waste is safely used as a livestock feed or a compost by sterilizing the food waste and drying the same in such a manner that salt as well as moisture are easily removed. CONSTITUTION: The method for recycling food waste as a feed or a compost comprises a crushing process of crushing the food waste to small pieces when a certain amount of the food waste is supplied after storing collected food waste; a process of removing the foreign materials from the crushed food waste by sorting out foreign materials including synthetic resins such as polyethylene and polypropylene, glass, metal, wood, and other burnt inorganic materials contained in the crushed food waste using a sorter; a process of controlling a pH concentration of the food waste by fermenting the sorted food waste; a process of sterilizing the food waste which is transferred after controlling the concentration thereof; a process of removing salt by passing the sterilized food waste through a salt removing apparatus; a process of drying the food waste by passing the salt removed food waste through a multistage drying apparatus; a secondary sorting process of sorting the foreign materials from the dried food waste; a process of forming the food waste passing through the secondary sorting process; and a process of cooling the formed food waste and packaging the cooled food waste.
