<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging unit in which positioning of an imaging device, an element fixing material and a lens folder can be performed correctly and easily, and the relative positions among lenses and the imaging device can be adjusted correctly and easily. <P>SOLUTION: In the imaging unit, holes 25 for positioning for positioning the element fixing material 5 at the time of mounting the imaging device 4 to the element fixing material 5 are formed in the element fixing material 5, and a lens folder 7 is fixed to the element fixing material 5 while projected parts 7a for positioning for performing positioning the element fixing material 5 and the lens folder 7 are fitted into the positioning parts 25.
