PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preliminary seedling tray device of a transplanter, in which several steps of preliminary seedling tables are supported on the outside of a preliminary seedling tray support in a state capable of being switched into a preliminary seedling-mounting posture or into a stored posture, which hardly interferes a field of vision of an operator in the stored posture of the preliminary seedling tables, and prevents that the preliminary seedling tables are unexpectedly developed into the preliminary seedling-mounting posture. SOLUTION: This preliminary seedling tray device of the transplanter is characterized in that the engaging portion 23 of the uppermost preliminary seedling tray 16 in a stored posture B in which the preliminary seedling tray 16 is inclined on the inner side than the preliminary seedling tray support is engaged with the holding portion 26 of the lower stage preliminary seedling tray to hold the lower stage preliminary seedling tray in the stored posture B.
