PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit/receive a large volume of image data at high speed by using electric waves of frequency exceeding 1 GHz and to timely transmit/receive signals necessary for obtaining the image data while avoiding the impossibility of communication caused by the deficient communication of electric waves of a frequency exceeding 1 GHz. SOLUTION: The image obtaining apparatus comprises an image obtaining means for obtaining image data, a first electric wave communication means for transmitting image data obtained by the image obtaining means to an outside device via an antenna with the electric waves of a frequency exceeding 1 GHz, and a second electric wave communication means for transmitting/receiving signals for the image obtaining means to obtain image data to/from another device with electric waves whose wavelength is longer than those of the frequency exceeding 1 GHz.
