PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headrest capable of reliably protecting a head of an occupant by rapidly operating the headrest when a vehicle predicts or detects a rear-end collision accident. SOLUTION: The headrest comprises a base part 1 mounted above a seat 10, a receiving part 2 which is advanceable/retractable between a proximity position and the separation position with respect to the base part 1 to receive a head of an occupant seated in the seat 10, and a first link 3a and a second link 3b pivotably supported in a relatively rotatable manner, and further comprises a connection part 3 provided between the base part 1 and the receiving part 2, a drive input unit 4 provided on at least any one of the first link 3a and the second link 3b, and a drive unit 5 to drive the connection part 3 via the drive input unit 4.
