<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk brake improved in efficiency with only a minimum constituting space, which enables contraction of a parking brake drive unit, so that the drive unit can be disposed in various different positions. <P>SOLUTION: A parking brake device 6 comprises a driving unit 10 and a rack transmission device 7 including a rack 8 and a gear 9.
