The lighting system has a lamp and a control unit, where the lamp is controlled on the basis of a driving state of the vehicle. The control unit emits a flash signal, which brings the lamp in a short cycle of flashing. Another flashing signal is emitted, when a driving state of the vehicle is detected, which brings the lamp into a long cycle of flashing. A flashing-stop signal is emitted, when a change in another driving state is recognized.
