PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency in designing an analog function block from the viewpoint of analog layout. SOLUTION: A design object circuit is represented by a from-to list format 301 on the basis of netlist information of the circuit to be designed. In the from-to list format 301, the layout for each MOS transistor is represented by adding a symbol "s" or "d" indicating a source or drain, respectively, on the left side of transistor type names A and B. EACH transistor can be connected with each other through the sources s and drains d. The from-to list format 301 is converted into a corresponding symbol figure format layout 302 by use of a model library 304. In the symbol figure format layout 302, the transistors and the wirings are arranged in meshes for device arrangement and wiring. The data is edited in the form of the symbol figure format layout 302 and output in the form of a layout 303 such as a GDS format or the like. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
