PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that is able to reduce lateral fringe noise for both a signal for a photographed image and a signal for detecting a focus state.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus is provided, which has an imager with a pixel part that has first and second photoelectric conversion parts that generate an image signal by photoelectrically converting a light flux passed through different areas into which the exit pupil of an imaging optical system are divided with respect to one micro-lens. The imaging apparatus exerts control such that the timing of a first removal operation for removing a noise component from a first image signal read from the first photoelectric conversion part and the timing of a second removal operation for removing a noise component from a second image signal read from the first and second photoelectric conversion parts respectively have predetermined relations with the frequency of a noise source generated during the operation of reading an image signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
