In one instance, the UE performs inter-radio access technology (IRAT) measurement of a neighbor frequency of a second radio access technology (RAT) during a measurement gap allocated by a base station of a first RAT in response to a trigger for inter-RAT handover from the first RAT to the second RAT. The UE also performs downlink timing detection of the neighbor frequency of the second RAT with a second receive chain based on the IRAT measurement. |
