The target (10) can be temporarily connected to an aircraft (14) by a towing line (12) and has an active charge (26). The towing line forms a loop (18) that extends through a lug (16) of the aircraft and is connected at each end section (20,22) to the target. One end section is fixed to the target and the other end is released from the target by the thermal energy of the active charge, by a weld that melts under the heat of the charge.
