PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material to be recorded by ink jet having excellent ink dryability, transparency and water resistance, good flexibility and having good coating properties of an ink acceptive layer. SOLUTION: The material to be recorded by ink jet comprises the ink acceptive layer obtained by coating a coating liquid containing a monomer including a polyvinylpyrrolidone and a hydroxyl group, a polymerization initiator and a crosslinker as indispensable components and heating the liquid and formed on a base.
