PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate adjustment of a complicate lightness which has been hard conventionally. SOLUTION: When RGB image data is inputted (step 501), the data is converted to YCbCr image data (step 502). A lightness characteristic curve of the converted YCbCr image data is displayed. When a coordinates position where desired characteristics can be obtained is designated to the displayed lightness characteristic curve, the lightness characteristic curve is changed on the basis of the designated coordinates position, and Y data of the YCbCr image data is changed on the basis of the changed lightness characteristic curve (step 503). The YCbCr image data is converted on the basis of the changed Y data to RGB image data (step 504), and the converted RGB data is outputted to a printer. |
