DETERIORATION DIAGNOSTIC METHOD OF POWER CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the deterioration diagnostic method of a power cable for remarkably reducing labor and a cost accompanying deterioration diagnosis by dispensing with unsealing and sealing working of a closed opening and closing device when performing deterioration diagnosis of the power cable. SOLUTION: In the deterioration diagnostic method of the power cable 10, a terminal 12 of the power cable 10 and a mechanism ground 24 connected to it are provided in the inside of an outside casing 16 of the closed opening and closing device 14. The ground side of the mechanism ground 24 taken out to the outside in the state insulated electrically from the outside casing 16 is separated from ground potential 28, the ground side and a test voltage generation device 32 are connected to each other, test voltage is applied on a conductor of the power cable 10 through the mechanism ground 24, and the deterioration state of the power cable 10 is diagnosed by measuring a deterioration signal generated from the power cable 10.
