<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product information management system that enables producers, wholesalers/dealers and general consumers to equally acquire product information about products put in a supply distribution process. <P>SOLUTION: A weigher/packer/labeler 200, a weigher/labeler 300 and a label printer 350 additionally store various information including a serial number stored in an RF-ID tag, as product information, in a database of an information storage apparatus 400. When a general consumer pays for desired purchase products in a store 100, a cash register 500 can extract corresponding product information from the database of the information storage apparatus 400 according to the serial numbers stored in the RF-ID tags to calculate the selling price of each product. Information processing apparatuses 700 can be used to allow not only the retailer but also general consumers and producers to trace the supply distribution process of products according to the serial numbers stored in the RF-ID tags. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
