PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a data transfer capable of efficiently performing recovery processing even when an error is generated in communication.

SOLUTION: A communication interface 11 is a function for realizing communication with a printer 2 and is realized by wired USB, IEEE1394, or the like or wireless IEEE802.11, Bluetooth, or the like. Various sorts of programs are stored in a ROM and a printing control file preparation function 12 is a function for preparing a DPOF file for instance. A printing job ID adding function 13 is a function for imparting inherent job ID to printing data and a data management function 20 is a function for controlling the transmission of necessary data and the whole printing processing. The RAM is provided with: an image storage area 14 for storing image data photographed by a digital camera 1; a printing control file storage area 15 for storing a printing instruction prepared by the digital camera 1; a printing interruption list storage area 16 for storing a printing job interrupted due to a communication error; and so on.
