<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate an optical error of an optical element including aberration caused by assembling, after assembling. <P>SOLUTION: An optical pickup 104 is provided with a laser light source 21, a collimator lens 22 turning optical fluxes to parallel light, a polarization beam splitter 23, a 1/4 wavelength plate 24 as an optical isolator, an objective lens 25 converging the parallel light from the light source on an optical disk 102, a condenser lens 26 converging reflected light by the optical disk 102 on a photodetector, the photodetector 27 receiving optical fluxes reflected by the optical disk 102 and transmitted through an aberration compensating element and converting it to an electric signal, and the aberration compensating element 28 of which the optical property such as refraction, diffraction, reflection is variable and which consists of a material being able to fix the property, in the last stage of processes in which optical pickups are assembled, after the optical property of the aberration compensating element 28 is adjusted so that aberration of the optical pickup itself caused by assembling and optical errors which cannot removed by assembling adjustment are canceled or adjusted, the optical property is fixed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
