<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To share components related to a current detecting function of an inverter apparatus for driving a plurality of motors. <P>SOLUTION: Shunt resistors 22, 23, 24, a current amplifying circuit 25, and an A/D conversion circuit 32, are shared in arms corresponding to current carrying circuits 2x, 2y. A carrier forming circuit 34 outputs a first carrier and a second carrier. The second carrier has a period as (n) times of the first carrier. The symbol (n) is a natural number. A peak having a transition from an increase to a decrease in a triangular wave has the same timing as a peak having a transition from a decrease to an increase in the first carrier. The A/D conversion circuit 32 implements an A/D conversion at the peak having the transition from the increase to the decrease in the second carrier.
