<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which allows the existence of an overexposure or an underexposure to be easily recognized even in the case of overlap of the overexposure or the underexposure of a displayed image, and a histogram display. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device includes: an image display means; a histogram generation means which acquires values about representing elements of an image represented by image data and generates a histogram on the basis of the acquired values of representing elements; a judgement means which specifies parts of pixels of which the values of representing elements are equal to or smaller than a first prescribed value or are equal to or larger than a second prescribed value, as defective areas and judges whether the defective areas are hidden by the histogram or not; and histogram display means which display the histogram in a first display mode over the image displayed in a display screen in the case that it is judged by the judgement means that the defective areas are not hidden by the histogram, and display the histogram in a second display mode different from the first display mode over the image displayed in the display screen in the case that it is judged by the judgement means that the defective areas are hidden by the histogram. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
