The detector has a housing for mounting at a chamber cover, and a mounting socket (2) facing the chamber cover. A housing cover (5) turns away from the chamber cover, and a functional test causing device (1) is provided for causing a functional test of the detector. A mounting part of the housing cover is formed opposite to the socket in a movable manner and is mechanically coupled with the test causing device for causing the functional test, such that pressing on the mounting part controls the test causing device. The housing cover is designed as a single-piece and forms the mounting part.
