PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately record/reproduce information by facilitating heat radiation of a laser light source to suppress the temperature increase of an optical pickup. SOLUTION: This optical disk device is provided with: a first through part 2a penetrating from the periphery of a rotary device to an area where an optical pickup moves; a disk mounting part 20 which has a disk mounting protrusion part serving as a guide to mount an optical disk and a disk notched part 21a formed so that a projected part ends at right and left ends of the disk mounting projected part, and where the first penetrated part 21a is opened; and a second through part disposed on the outer peripheral side of the optical disk so as not to reach a part directly under the optical disk or the side face, and on an upstream side in the rotational direction of the optical disk after the disk mounting part 20 when seen from the first through part 2a to generate a downward flow in an open end as an outermost periphery.
