PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of performance of a virtualized storage system. SOLUTION: In a computer system including a storage device, a host computer, and a management computer, the storage device constitutes a virtual storage area pool by a virtual storage area to which storage resources of at least one of a memory device and an external memory device provided by an external storage device connected to the storage device provided with the memory device are assigned, and provides the virtual storage area to the host computer as a storage area for reading and writing data. The management computer is used to provide the storage resources to the host computer based on storage configuration information acquired from the storage device. The management computer acquires usage information of hardware resources including the storage resources and determines the configuration of the storage device, based on the acquired usage information of hardware resources, so as to avoid concentration of loads to a specific hardware resource.
