PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a lead-acid battery case having high productivity, safety and good quality at low costs. SOLUTION: Low specific-gravity electrolyte is supplied to the lead-acid battery 1 by making use of water pressure in a tank 9 filled with the low specific-gravity electrolyte, and is circulated to the tank 9 filled with the low specific-gravity electrolyte through an electrolyte discharge line 17, a discharge pump 4b, and an electrolyte collection line 13. Then, high specific-gravity electrolyte is supplied to the lead-acid battery 1 by making use of water pressure in a tank 2 filled with the high specific-gravity electrolyte, and is circulated to the tank 2 filled with the high specific-gravity electrolyte through the electrolyte discharge line 17, the discharge pump 4b, and the electrolyte collection line 13. An electrolyte surface monitor pipe 11 and a check valve 18 are arranged between an electrolyte supply line 14 and the electrolyte collection line 13.
