FUEL REFORMER AND FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reformer capable of equally discharging reformed gas from a plurality of gas exits.

SOLUTION: This is a vertically long container of a plan-view cross shape in which a reforming catalyst 33 is filled, and has a first buffer region 32 without the reforming catalyst filled provided at a gas entrance 31 portion at the upper end part and a second buffer region 35 without the reforming catalyst filled provided at the gas exit 34 portion at the lower end part. The second buffer region is divided into a first chamber 35a in which the reformed gas is temporarily stored and a second chamber 35b which discharges the reformed gas in the first chamber introduced from a ventilation hole from a gas exit 34 at the top end part of each wing part by a partition member 50 having the ventilation hole 51 at the crossing portion of each wing part 30a-30d.
