<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting module for a vehicular headlight, which gives a wide-angle light beam with cutoff. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting module has at least one light source S, a collecting mirror 6, a bender 7 having a reflective surface and a cutoff edge, a return mirror 8 for producing a radiating light beam with cutoff. The collecting mirror 6 converts a spherical wave surface left from the center of the light source S into a wave surface with a convex toward the front, which can be expressed by using a two-dimensional curve C, a shape of the cutoff end of the bender is coincided with the two-dimensional curve C. The return mirror 8 has a curve C' as a cross-sectioned wave surface with a convex toward the front, and the surfaces among the collecting mirror 6, the bender 7, and the return mirror 8 are conjugated surfaces so as to make them convert into at least one cylindrical wave surface having a perpendicular axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
