<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide a detection element or an electrically conductive path in a deformation part, and to increase support strength on a mounting base material, in an input device detecting strain of the deformation part of an operation body to obtain X output and Y output. <P>SOLUTION: In the input device 1, the operation body 10 made of synthetic resin is provided with the deformation parts deformed by falling force acting on a protrusion part 17, and the rear face 11 of the operation body 10 is provided with the detection elements detecting the strain of the deformation parts. Because the rear face 11 of the operation body 10 is a flat face, the detection element or the electrically conductive path can be pattern-formed on the rear face 11 by a printing process or the like. A base member 40 is lapped over the rear face 11, and the base member 40 is fixed to the mounting base material 60, so that the input device 1 can be firmly fixed.
