PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device, etc. that heats a heating member with a simple configuration without using an exclusive heating means or without particularly increasing a heating temperature of a heat roll as a fixing device adopting a pressurizing member composed of an endless belt and a pressure support. SOLUTION: The fixing device has a control means for executing heat increasing operation for increasing frictional heat generated between the endless belt (35) and the pressure support (36) in a non-fixing period. The heat increasing operation is operation for rotating the heat roll (31) at a speed higher than a rotational speed in a fixing period, operation for increasing press-contact force of the pressure support (36) to the endless belt (35) larger than the press-contact force for fixing, and so on.
