PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module fixed by using a resin and enhancing its fixing strength. SOLUTION: The optical module 1 includes a joint sleeve 11, an optical fiber 3, a sleeve 13, a sleeve cover 15, a resin 17 for fixing X and Y axes, and a resin 19 for fixing a Z axis. The joint sleeve 11 stores LD 5, PD 7, and a lens 25 in the inside. The end 3a of the optical fiber 3 is fixed on the sleeve 13 in the inside. The sleeve cover 15 forms a gap 31 between an outer peripheral face 13a of the sleeve 13 and an inner peripheral face 15b of a through hole, and an end face 15a is fixed with the resin 17 for fixing the X and Y axes on an outer surface 11c of a top face 11a of the joint sleeve 11.
