An oil-in-water type emulsion composition characterized by comprising a fatty acid soap, the following components (2) to (5), and water (6): (2) 0.3 to 4.0% by mass based on the composition of polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of 2000 to 25000, (3) 0.1 to 5.0% by mass based on the composition of one or more nonionic surfactants having HLB of 10 to 17, (4) 0.1 to 5.0% by mass based on the composition of one or more nonionic surfactants having HLB of 2 to 10, and (5) 40 to 70% by mass based on the composition of an oil-phase component containing a solid or semisolid oil. The invention aims at providing an oil-in-water type composition mainly or secondarily for cleansing which is unclammy and highly stable and has good body. |
