PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Doherty amplifier capable of efficiently amplifying a high frequency signal when backing off a wider frequency band.SOLUTION: A Doherty amplifier of an embodiment comprises a distributor, a synthesizer, a carrier amplifier, and a peak amplifier. The distributor is connected to an input terminal. The synthesizer is connected to an output terminal. The carrier amplifier comprises an input-side two-terminal pair circuit, an amplifying element, and an output-side two-terminal pair circuit. The peak amplifier comprises an input-side two-terminal pair circuit, an amplifying element, and an output-side two-terminal pair circuit. The Doherty amplifier of the embodiment is a parallel connection load type in which the output-side two-terminal pair circuit of the carrier amplifier and the output-side two-terminal pair circuit of the peak amplifier are connected in parallel to the output terminal at a synthetic point of the synthesizer. The load admittance when the output terminal is viewed from the synthetic point is a complex number.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
