PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment method for contents filled in a container and a surface treatment device, capable of reliably and substantially uniformly leveling a content surface of a viscous material in a container, resolving sealing failure or content adhesion to a lid body to obtain good beauty with reduced uneven shape of the content surface after opening, and substantially equalizing the amount of contents without requiring a content removal device such as a duct.SOLUTION: A rotary roller 10 is arranged so that a portion of a circumferential surface thereof comes into contact with a content surface 6a in a container 5, and the rotor is rotated so as to perform the biting in a slide direction while sliding the rotor along the content surface 6a to level the content surface 6a. |
