PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a sound absorbing material of a side mirror for a vehicle and a sound absorbing structure of a side mirror using the same are provided to reduce manufacturing costs by simply coupling a sound absorbing material to a frame. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a sound absorbing material of a side mirror for a vehicle is as follows. A polyethylene foam sheet(110a) is preheated. The polyethylene foam sheet is arranged between upper and lower dies(10,20). The polyethylene foam sheet is pressed by a press and is molded a shape corresponding to the inner spaces(122) of a frame(120) for a side mirror so that the frame can be filled with a sound absorbing material(110). The shape of the sound absorbing material is hardened by cooling the dies.
