PURPOSE: A refractory bricks based on asbestos and a method for detoxifying the asbestos are provided to crystallize the asbestors into a poorly soluble compound in order to prevent the asbestors to be absorbed in a human body. CONSTITUTION: Asbestos is dehydrated in a dehydration and compression apparatus. The dehydrated asbestos is transferred to a sealed drying duct and is prevented from being exposed to external air. The dehydrated asbestos is transferred to a hopper and is pulverized in a pulverizer. The pulverized asbestos is sorted in a vibrating screen. The sorted asbestos is heated at a furnace and is assembled.
