<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device having high heat-dissipating efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination device includes a heat-dissipating member equipped with a first end and a second end installed facing; a substrate having at least one through-hole; at least one solid light-emitting element connected to the first end of the heat-dissipating member through the through-hole of the substrate; and a power supply connecting section, installed at the second end of the heat-dissipating member and electrically connected to the substrate.
