PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for a reinforced fiber base material excellent in productivity and shapability, capable of substantially reducing the disposal amount of the reinforced fiber and capable of deforming along the shape of a mold while maintaining the form of the base material at shaping.SOLUTION: There is provided a production method for a reinforced fiber base material, having at least one reinforced fiber bundle layer comprising the reinforced fiber bundles aligned in one direction and integrated by an auxiliary yarn. The method comprises: a process (a) of disposing the reinforced fiber bundle layer aligned in one direction on the surface of a first fixture having an opening, or forming the fiber bundle layer aligned in one direction on a prescribed position of the first fixture having the opening; a process (b) of setting a second fixture having the opening to tuck in the fiber bundle layer; a process (c) of tucking the fiber bundle layer in the first and second fixtures to grip the fiber bundle layer; a process (d) of integrating the fiber bundle layer with the auxiliary yarn from the openings of the first and/or second fixtures; and a process (e) of detaching the first and second fixtures.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
