A roadside parking management method and system, able to accurately position vehicles, thus reducing the costs and increasing the efficiency of roadside parking management. The system comprises a positioning server (201), an electronic licence plate (202) attached to a vehicle, and at least three interconnected and synchronised base stations (2041-204n); the electronic licence plate (202) is used for sending an ultra-wideband pulse signal to the at least three base stations (2041-204n); the base stations (2041-204n) are used for receiving the ultra-wideband pulse signal sent by the electronic licence plate (202), and sending the timing of the reception of the ultra-wideband pulse signal to a positioning server (201); and the positioning server (201) is used for positioning the vehicle to which the electronic licence plate (202) is attached on the basis of a positioning algorithm, the model parameters of the vehicle to which the electronic licence plate (202) is attached, and the timing of the reception of the ultra-wideband pulse signal received by the at least three base stations (2041-204n), and on the basis of the positioning results and the coordinates of parking space markings, determining whether the vehicle is parked illegally. |
